- The guys over at Les Shamans have released a new and free e-book compiling a range of know-how, techniques, and anecdotes from animation professionals, including Pixar’s Victor Navone.
Animation Insiders #1 is aimed at passionate animators looking to surpass their limits and acquire new techniques.
In the introduction the book is said to be an alternative to the many guides for animation that are already out there. What makes Animation Insiders different is the variety of techniques presented from real professional animators. “This is what we call ‘gold’,” it says.
Alongside Pixar’s Victor Navone’s are contributing chapters from supervising animator at DreamWorks Animation, Jason Ryan, Jason Martinsen, who recently worked on Iron Man 2 for Double Negative, and Jason Schleifer, well known for his animation work on the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
