Term 2!

Started my second term here last week and I had a 2 hour lecture on Tuesday, followed by a one 1 hour seminar. In the lecture we had to talk and 'argue' with people from different courses. It was an okay lecture, I don't really like having to get up and go and talk to people as it is pretty difficult in that lecture hall to move about. We also didn't really get to talk about multimedia much or learn much about multimedia, more about the other courses. In our seminar we were discussing active learning in groups and getting to know our class better which was good. We were then given the task to talk about on our journals how we develop ourselves as 'practitioners'. I think I do this by practicing painting when I'm at home by painting on canvas' (I gave my brother a portrait of him for his 21st birthday), reading other peoples journals and I've been trying to read multimedia books to learn more about it and I also try and practice my skills on photoshop for example. Another thing I am doing is learning to use both macs and pc's for design, as then that will make me more versatile and it may help me in my future job.

Then on thursday we had a seminar where we are learning to use 3d max. It is quite confusing but I managed to kind of get the hang of what we were doing in the lesson. Me and some other people from my class and going to go and practice more with it during the week before our next seminar.
