In our last seminar for context we were thinking about how we research and what research is. I found the things that other people said interesting, like some people thought research was happening all the time, and others thought it started when we wanted. I think it begins when we want to learn more or are unsure about something. We also had to think a lot about our own creativity. My creativity is aimed at mainly work because of projects at school, trying to get A levels, foundation degree etc. I want it to be more for pleasure as I enjoy being creative, I just need to be able to find the time to be able to get stuck into something that isn’t to do with my uni work
Myself, family (gifts) to be able to show people what I can do and then they can help me improve.
I want to concentrate more on projects at uni/school etc to do the best I can there,so being creative for other reasons isn’t my priority and I would like to be able to be creative in other ways apart from by just doing projects from uni. I try to do paintings when I can but I would like to start doing drawings, as I would get more practice doing it, and it would give me something to do when im not working and it may be quite relaxing rather than stressful.
In the future I hope my creativity isn’t solely for my job, I would like to be able to be creative just because I enjoy it and just because I can. I think a lot of my creativeness would be put into my job, but then I would like to be able to sell pieces of art maybe as well, for like a hobby also, so I am not limited to just doing one creative thing.
I think if I became more aware of designers and other peoples work, it could influence what I do myself, and that could then help me to get a better job, and be able to find different ways of being creative, as I want to be quite versatile in what I do.
Starting points of research For and infront of draw me the most as they could help me a lot more creatively, whereas the behind and in/through starting point seems more related I don’t think of any of them are irrelevant as I think I would research by reading books, and looking at things other than art and artists, and the two starting points that I was not drawn to could help me interpret and learn from research that I do.
